With only eight openings on the team, but nine regular-worthy club members, there is always an odd man out. In June, Momoshiro couldn't escape Inui Sadaharu's revival and lost his spot on the team to the senpai. For the next few days, the bumped out Momoshiro skipped practice and took his frustration out on the street tennis courts. With help from Tachibana An, he regained his spirits and returned to the club. When Ooishi Shuuichirou sustained an injury, Momoshiro smoothly transitioned into Ooishi's shoes as Kikumaru Eiji's doubles partner. Momoshiro has since become a great doubles player and has sharpen his ability to analyze his opponents' game. His training on the mountains has given him the insight to the tiniest details in his environment. The easygoing Momoshiro is Kaidou Kaoru's biggest rival at Seigaku. He and Kaidou have been butting heads since the first day they met. Prior to the tournament, Momoshiro injured his ankle and while it had healed physically, he was still mentally troubled by it, hindering his play. Momoshiro plays Power Tennis. |
