KAKINOKI: Kakinoki, Seishun Gakuen, Fudoumine, and Gyokurin belong to the same district with Tokyo. Although Kakinoki's performance last year earned them a chance to play at Tokyo Prefectural Tournament, this year, the No. 2 seed was upset by dark horse Fudoumine. |

GINKA: Don't be misled by Ginka's official record, including their qualification to the Kantou Tournament, as they are one of the weaker teams from Tokyo. Although they placed third at the Tokyo Prefectural Tournament after forfeiting their semifinals match to Seishun Gakuen, it was because they benefited from a bracket that was devoid of any immediate confrontation with the powerhouses. Echizen Ryoma alone defeated Ginka's best players without much effort. Mistaken that Inui Sadaharu's exotic juice is the key to Seigaku's strength, at the Kantou Tournament, Ginka stole Inui's bottle and drank it before their first round match against Rikkai Dai Fuzoku. The members of the team ended up in the hospital with food poisoning and Rikkai won the match by default. |
