Mini-Bio |
Hiyoshi joined the rank of Hyoutei's regulars after a renewed Shishido Ryou knocked Taki Haginosuke off the team. He was heralded as Atobe Keigo's successor, but the certainty of that assertion now wavered in the wake of his defeat to Echizen Ryoma. In that deciding tiebreaker set against Seigaku, Hiyoshi failed to carry the team to the next round of the Kantou Tournament. During Hyoutei's rematch with Seigaku, Hiyoshi, who is suited for short matches, teamed up with Mukahi Gakuto, whose stamina will fail him in long matches, to launch a short-term battle against Inui Sadaharu and Kaidou Kaoru. Although the strategy appeared to be successful and earned them match point, they had actually fallen into Kaidou's trap. Drained by their reckless pace in the beginning of the match, Hiyoshi and Mukahi could not muster up the energy to match their opponents in the now drawn-out endurance battle. Hiyoshi's motto in life is "gekokujou", to ascend to the top by displacing those in front of him. Hiyoshi's family runs a Kobujutsu dojo (Kobujutsu is an ancient martial arts from Okinawa). |
